ASACP comprises two separate corporate entities, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection and the ASACP Foundation. Although both are an integral part of the child protection effort. It is necessary that ASACP have two separate organizations in order to do a broad range of work in protecting children online. This Web site collectively refers to the two organizations under the name "ASACP."
The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization. ASACP manages a membership program that provides resources to companies in order to help them protect children online. ASACP also engages in legislative lobbying. Membership and sponsorship dues and other gifts to ASACP are not tax deductible.
The ASACP Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The ASACP Foundation operates the ASACP child pornography reporting hotline, the Restricted To Adults - RTA Website Label, and provides educational and technological resources for anyone wanting to better protect children online. Donations to the ASACP Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
