Los Angeles - (January 5, 2003) - ASACP is the premier organization helping the adult site industry to make a difference in the battle against child pornography. ASACP is aggressive expanding to meet the increasing demand for its services and commitment to the needs and expectations of its members and supporters. ASACP receives over 90 reports of suspect child pornography sites per day. Since its inception, ASACP has investigated and assisted the U.S. Customs Service and the FBI in enforcing anti-child pornography laws against thousands of child pornography sites.

ASACP plans to increase its our visibility at industry tradeshows such as Internext and Adult Entertainment Expo, work closer with government agencies and other organizations, and build awareness of the ASACP mission on the Internet.

For the first time ASACP will ask its members for their financial support. Therefore, ASACP invites its members, adult webmasters and others in the adult industry to become a Founding Member of the organization that has provided a safe vehicle for self-regulation for the last six  years.

ASACP`s members and Advisory Council have requested that ASACP expand its Code of Ethics, so that the ASACP logo displayed on a member`s page will become equilavent to the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval or the Better Business logo, except it represents a testimonial that the member site does not contain or condone child pornography.

The expanded ASACP Code of Ethics are:
1. Comply with all the child pornography laws of the United States government, i.e. 18 U.S.C. Section 2257 Compliance.
2. Do not use words that would in any way denote child pornography; for example, but not limited to: kiddie, child, underaged, adolescent, pre-teen, teen14, teen15, teen16, teen17 or any form of lolita. (Sex.com, a ASACP Founding Sponsor, will provide ASACP with international keywords that denote child pornography.)
3. Avoid doing business with companies that are questionable in their policy relating to child pornography.
4. Report incidences of child pornography to ASACP.
5.Display the ASACP button on your frontpage as a testimonial that your site does not contain nor condone child pornography.

ASACP will review all sites prior to accepting a company as a member. Then periodically ASACP will review all member sites for compliance as assurance to both the adult and mainstream industries.

ASACP Goals
Raising awareness about the subject of child pornography.
Reporting child pornography sites to the appropriate government and civic organizations.
Helping the adult site industry to self-regulate as a testimonial of their vigilance against child pornography.
Increasing this advocacy effort by enhancing relations with governmental agencies and related associations.
Keeping ASACP members and supporters informed of current legislation pertaining to child pornography laws.
