ASACP Returns to Lisbon for The European Summit, Promotes Online Child Safety

LOS ANGELES (Feb. 24, 2020) — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce its return to The European Summit (TES), in Lisbon, Portugal, where it will deliver its message of child safety and corporate responsibility to a wide range of digital media business leaders.

Set for February 28 to March 2 at The Oitavas Hotel in Cascais, The European Summit is Europe’s leading B2B conference for the online industry. This executive gathering unites representatives from the affiliate, billing, casual dating, domain name, mobile tech, website services and traffic segments, for educational sessions, networking, social events and more, delivered with a European flair.

ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning will participate in the event, where he will meet and network with attendees while explaining the good work that the association does, the many successes it has achieved during its nearly 24-year history, and more — including the role that the newest generation of age verification technology and services play in protecting children online — a current-event topic for attendees across Europe and beyond.

“The incredibly generous support that TES has shown over the years to ASACP and its mission of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment is humbling for us, and is one of the sources of encouragement we rely upon to carry out that mission,” Henning said. “The numerous decision-makers in attendance at TES tackle timely topics, such as the need to protect children in their daily digital lives and provide a vital venue for the association to educate the industry about the benefits and services offered by ASACP.”

TES’ Andreas Bischoff said that it is important for the industry to support ASACP and to help in the effort to protect children online.

“A truly remarkable team of individuals, ASACP should constantly receive support from our entire industry,” Bischoff said. “We are proud to once again host the association at our event and help it to do its good work that helps us all.”

TES organizers have taken this approach to heart and long provided ASACP with an unparalleled level of support — including a spot at the Meet Market (table 27), where information about the association will be made available; along with a sponsor banner at the event; plus online ad placement and social media blasts to raise awareness of ASACP and its mission; as well as free show admission plus a complimentary hotel room during the event.

ASACP’s Travel Sponsor, DialXS, is graciously underwriting Henning’s roundtrip to Lisbon, making this visit possible.

“This support underpins the effectiveness of ASACP’s European outreach and makes a real difference in the association’s abilities to influence stakeholders,” Henning added. “From ASACP’s RTA labeling program to our Tipline that has processed more than a million reports, and the range of other resources and services we provide, all of this is only possible through the continued generosity of our sponsors and the true industry leadership they commit to — and for this, we say ‘thank you.’”
