ASACP Honors DialXS as April’s Featured Sponsor

LOS ANGELES (April 1, 2020) — ASACP, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, is pleased to name DialXS as its Featured Sponsor for April 2020.

An ASACP Title Sponsor, DialXS is a major international payment services provider that has operated since 2000 and is also the association’s exclusive Travel Sponsor — a prestigious designation that underscores the company’s seriousness in its efforts to keep minors out of and away from adult-oriented materials.

According to the company, it specializes in the processing of all popular and trusted European payment methods, which many merchants do not even realize are available since every country in Europe has a preferred way to pay online. These methods are not merely alternatives to high-risk credit card transactions, but a tried-and-true way to boost conversions in most European nations.

“In many European countries, people do not like to give their credit card details to an unknown merchant. They would rather pay using their already trusted ways to pay online,” DialXS CEO Chris Visser stated. “This is because most don’t pay for their daily groceries with a credit card, and are not as well educated on how, for example, chargebacks work, as are people from North America.”

“To optimize conversions, you need to provide the customer a preferred payment method in all targeted countries,” Visser added. “This also has a big advantage over just accepting credit cards, because most European payment methods are guaranteed payments. This means that with many payment methods, there are no options for customers to do an unjustified chargeback.”

Like many companies, DialXS has noted significant market changes in the face of the coronavirus pandemic — changes that have benefited many brands in the adult space, but that has hurt ASACP’s outreach efforts. Due to the pandemic travel bans and the resulting canceled events, the association has seen unprecedented challenges to its ability to perform community engagement; so, to boost its commitment to the association’s mission of keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment even further, DialXS has now donated an additional $5,000 to the cause.

“DialXS takes online child protection extremely seriously and so we are pleased to provide ASACP with the support it deserves and to help enable its presence at international trade events,” DialXS CEO Chris Visser stated. “The pandemic poses a wide range of challenges, including barriers to travel that make it hard for the association to reach stakeholders. Hopefully, this additional cash donation will help it continue to make the internet safer for children.”

“DialXS is proud to sponsor ASACP at a high level and we encourage other companies to do so, too,” Visser concluded. “Together, we can make a difference for the children of the world.”

ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning said the association’s monthly Featured Sponsors, and especially DialXS, are among the industry’s most respected companies and serve as examples of how responsible business practices, ethical operations, and social awareness help protect minors from accidental exposure to age-restricted materials.

“By sponsoring ASACP, the industry’s most prominent players prove that corporate responsibility and self-regulation keep minors away from adult-oriented entertainment,” Henning said. “ASACP is proud to honor these companies that have demonstrated a commitment to online child protection, encouraging other digital media organizations to take a positive leadership role in keeping minors out of and away from adult entertainment.”

“This added generosity by DialXS helps at a time when travel restrictions hamper our efforts to bring in sponsors and spread the message that ‘child protection is business protection,’” Henning added. “We can only hope that other companies will likewise step up to the plate and similarly demonstrate their corporate leadership.”

The support that ASACP receives from sponsors such as DialXS enables it to continue its near 24-year record of success and to provide a range of educational and informational resources for digital media and other companies — including market-specific Best Practices along with a universal Code of Ethics for online businesses, app publishers and website operators.

Among its most notable achievements, ASACP’s RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta labeling system helps parents prevent their children’s access to countless adult-oriented webpages and mobile apps and is offered to all site and app publishers free of charge, as are all ASACP services; including its CP Reporting Tipline, which has processed more than 1 million user reports to date, thanks to the generosity of the nonprofit association’s sponsors and members.

For April, ASACP honors DialXS as its Featured Sponsor, recognizing the continued, generous support the company has provided to the association, and honors its commitment to making the internet safer for children and families.

“The generosity of industry leaders such as DialXS enable ASACP to carry out its vital mission to protect our constantly connected youth, for which we are truly grateful,” Henning concluded. “ASACP’s Featured Sponsors demonstrate that embracing leadership and proactive corporate responsibility are hallmarks of the digital media business and inspiration for us all.”
