ASACP Returns to XBIZ Berlin, Participates in Breakthrough Virtual Event

LOS ANGELES (October 19, 2020) — ASACP, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, is pleased to announce its participation in the XBIZ Berlin adult industry conference, as it makes its virtual debut for 2020’s gathering.

The premier European event returns Oct. 19-22 with a focus on the region’s adult entertainment market, boasting interactive networking, wide-ranging discussion panels and special events.

ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning will make a virtual visit to the event, where he will be on-hand to discuss the latest trends and opportunities for online child protection and the impact that COVID has had on the issue.

“The ongoing COVID crisis doesn’t just impact our event travel, and the resulting decrease in awareness-building, education and fundraising, it has also compromised children’s online safety and complicated our child protection efforts,” Henning explained. “By adapting to the current reality of industry gatherings, ASACP can continue its outreach to stakeholders — and today, that means visiting XBIZ Berlin.”

The promoters of XBIZ Berlin have been generous in providing ASACP with numerous amenities at its previous events in the city, which gather many business owners and other operators from across the broader European region and beyond.

“XBIZ Berlin provides many networking opportunities where we can reach out to new operators while keeping our current connections in the loop,” Henning added. “Staying in touch with our sponsors is vital to our mission and we encourage all online stakeholders to assume a leadership role in the fight to keep children out of and away from adult-oriented materials by sponsoring ASACP.”

Through the generosity of its sponsors, ASACP provides free educational resources and other tools that make a positive difference for constantly-connected youth, including market-specific Best Practices and a Code of Ethics for online businesses, app publishers and operators of adult and age-restricted websites.

Among its most notable achievements, ASACP’s RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta labeling system helps parents prevent their children’s access to countless adult-oriented webpages and mobile apps and is offered to all site and app publishers free of charge, as are all ASACP services; including its CP Reporting Tipline, which has received and processed well over 1 million user reports to date.
