ASACP Honors CAM4, Streamate, and Gamma Entertainment as December Featured Sponsors

LOS ANGELES (December 1, 2021) — ASACP, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, is pleased to wrap up the year by naming CAM4, Streamate, and Gamma Entertainment as its final Featured Sponsors for 2021.

Among the industry’s most respected companies, ASACP’s Featured Sponsors serve as prime examples of how corporate responsibility, ethical operation, and simple, proactive measures help to protect minors and other online users from accidental exposure to age-restricted materials.

According to ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, the nonprofit association’s ongoing success relies on the continuing support from companies and organizations willing to assume a proactive, leadership role in the fight to keep children out of and away from adult-oriented materials.

“Online child protection is not a one-and-done deal, but a commitment to doing the right thing, each day and every day,” Henning said. “By supporting ASACP and its initiatives, our family of sponsors enables us to raise awareness and to provide solutions across the growing range of digital media platforms.”

“It is only through our partnerships and programs that the association can make significant improvements in the safety of children’s daily digital lives,” Henning added. “With another year of unprecedented challenges coming to an end, now is the time for the industry to follow its leaders and get onboard with ASACP and the incredible work that it does.”

ASACP relies on the generous guidance and support from sponsors, such as CAM4, Streamate, and Gamma Entertainment, to power its 25-year-long record of success. These successes include the release of free child protection resources such as market-specific Best Practices along with a comprehensive Code of Ethics for businesses, app publishers, and all operators of age-restricted websites.

At the pinnacle of ASACP’s most notable achievements are its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system that helps prevent children’s access to adult-oriented web pages and its CP Reporting Tipline, which has processed more than 1 million reports.

As with all of ASACP’s services, these tools are free of charge, thanks to the ongoing generosity of the association’s family of sponsors.

ASACP recognizes CAM4, Streamate, and Gamma Entertainment as December’s Featured Sponsors, honoring these market leaders’ continued commitment to making the internet safer for children and their families.

CAM4

An ASACP Title Sponsor and Advisory Council Member whose support extends back to 2012, CAM4.com is vigilant about online child protection due to its live video chat sites where minors may attempt to access these platforms. In addition, minors may also misrepresent their age in an attempt to become paid performers.

The global nature of this business (with varying documentation requirements in different jurisdictions) and the physical separation between the company and its contractors make it a daunting proposition to ensure that performers, let alone viewers are of legal age. Because of these challenges, ASACP offers a stringent set of Best Practices tailored to the specific needs of live cam site operators, which CAM4 incorporates. CAM4 also takes additional measures such as using the RTA label to block children from its site, illustrating a caring, proactive approach to keeping children safe.

These steps also include a warning page alerting viewers that no CP is present and that anyone posting or seeking underage material will be reported to authorities, with the company aiding in prosecuting these users. This step sends a clear message that CAM4 will not tolerate children on its site.

Streamate

With decades of experience in providing live streaming and adult-themed photos and videos to its members, advanced technology runs through the virtual veins of Streamate.com. Built into its DNA is a profound desire for making great products through superior engineering, backed by a relentless focus on adding value to its offerings and satisfying customers, content partners, and affiliates alike, all while being sensitive to the need for protecting the innocence of youth.

“As a long-standing member of the ASACP, we are honored to continue supporting the organization, which works tirelessly to defend the industry and its commitment to protecting children and the fight against exploitation,” said Streamate’s Director of Marketing Liz R. “There has never been a more critical time for the industry to stand up in unified support of organizations such as ASACP.”

“ASACP provides valuable resources to the industry and the general public that companies should take advantage of and share with their customers,” Liz R added. “For example, all companies within the industry should be using RTA labels on their apps and sites along with doing all they can to ensure that only adults are seeing (or creating) adult content.”

Gamma Entertainment

An ASACP Corporate Sponsor that has supported the association since 2006, Montreal-based Gamma Entertainment illustrates the commitment that the adult entertainment industry’s most prominent players make towards keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment.

Spearheaded by its flagship website at Gammae.com, Gamma has grown from a home-based business with a single site to become a significant force within the adult industry, boasting nearly 60 full-time employees. Gamma attributes its growth to the use of cutting-edge technology and adherence to four basic principles: honesty, respect, reliability, and an up-front way of doing business, as the bedrock of its ongoing success.

Gamma demonstrates its leadership by using the RTA website meta-label to protect its sites and donating rack space for two ASACP-owned servers located in the Gamma data center — providing useful material and technical support and financial aid for financial aid the association.

“ASACP is grateful to CAM4, Streamate, and Gamma Entertainment, for these companies’ continued commitment, generosity, and leadership in supporting the association and its mission to improve online child safety,” Henning concluded. “ASACP’s family of sponsors are united in pursuing this goal and represent the best the industry has to offer. We encourage other brands to step up and join us today.”
