ASACP Honors Safenames, XLoveCam, Pineapple Support as Featured Sponsors for April 2022

LOS ANGELES (April 1, 2022) — ASACP, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, is pleased to name Safenames, XLoveCam, and Pineapple Support as its Featured Sponsors for April 2022.

ASACP’s Featured Sponsors are among the industry’s most respected companies. These industry leaders demonstrate how corporate responsibility, ethical business operation, and several simple technical measures can protect minors and other users from accidental exposure to age-restricted materials online.

According to ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, the nonprofit association relies on the support of companies and other organizations that can assume a proactive leadership role in keeping children out of and away from adult-oriented materials online.

“ASACP’s family of sponsors enables the association to raise awareness of the issues and provide solutions tailored to today’s emerging platforms and the protection of digitally-connected youth,” Henning said. “Industry leaders and other stakeholders have joined together to support the association’s vital work because we make a difference by protecting the most innocent and vulnerable viewers — our children.”

ASACP’s successes are made possible by its sponsors’ ongoing generous guidance and support, such as Safenames, XLoveCam, and Pineapple Support. These successes include providing free child protection resources, market-specific Best Practices, and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for app and age-restricted website publishers.

At the pinnacle of ASACP’s achievements are its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system that helps prevent children’s access to adult-oriented web pages; and its CP Reporting Tipline, which has processed more than 1 million reports.

As with all of ASACP’s services, these tools are free of charge, thanks to the ongoing generosity of the association’s family of sponsors — including April’s Featured Sponsors — Safenames, XLoveCam, and Pineapple Support.

Safenames

An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2020, Safenames keeps companies one step ahead by protecting their online brand, data, revenue, and reputation.

Founded in 1999 and based in the U.K., Safenames is a privately owned company with established operations around the globe, serving as a leading provider of global domain management, brand protection, SSL, hosting, and cyber security services for more than 20 years.

Safenames’ comprehensive suite of partnerships and managed web-based tools enables its customers to effectively protect their domain names, trademarks, and online brand identities across the globe.

“In a fluid digital age, Safenames enables clients to make their mark on the world by providing a safe and secure framework where their brands are protected,” said Safenames’ CEO Adan McManus. “We engage, connect, and share our knowledge to help deliver our client’s aspirations as we strive to be the top service provider in protecting and securing digital brands and platforms.”

“Safenames focus on brand protection aligns with ASACP’s focus on online business protection through child protection, making for a mutually beneficial alliance,” McManus added. “We are proud to be Corporate Sponsors of ASACP and help it provide a safe space for brands, children, and consumers alike.”

XLoveCam

For more than 15 years, XLoveCam has provided a live cam platform that offers users, affiliates, and models quality professional service. The company safely serves more than 1 million visitors using an infrastructure spread over five countries every day. In 2019, the site reported 125 million unique visitors and nearly 2 billion page views, with a 99.99 percent positive response from users.

“XLoveCam.com helps ASACP and the children they protect through our financial support,” XLoveCam.com founder Patrick Koning said. “XLoveCam.com strongly agrees with ASACP regarding protecting children and being against child pornography.”

XLoveCam.com has set up barriers on its platforms, including RTA labeling, to keep children from accessing its sites; and ensures that no illegal activity occurs on its platform through 24/7 monitoring and applying a zero-tolerance policy.

Pineapple Support

An In-Kind Media Sponsor since 2019, Pineapple Support Society provides free and subsidized professional therapy, counseling, and emotional support services for all persons working in the online adult industry — regardless of their gender, ethnic origin, social status, age, or sexual orientation.

Pineapple Support’s ever-growing team of sex-worker-friendly, kink-aware therapists spread over five continents and speak 18 languages. Resources include one-on-one therapy sessions and weekly support groups, workshops, well-being events, webinars, and free, anonymous, 24/7 emotional support. Pineapple Support Society is a registered US 501c3 nonprofit organization that raises funds to help with professional mental health care costs for those who need it.

“ASACP thanks Safenames, XLoveCam, and Pineapple Support for these companies’ outstanding commitment, generosity, and long-term leadership in supporting the association and its mission to protect children’s daily digital lives,” Henning said. “ASACP’s family of sponsors are united in pursuing this goal and represent the industry’s best. We encourage other digital media brands and their service providers to step up and join us in building a better future for all of us.”
