AOE Berlin Helps ASACP Go International
Los Angeles, CA (April 12, 2006) - Attendees at this year's upcoming AOE Berlin conference and expo will notice the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) listed among the event's Associates and Partners.

Adult Online Europe (AOE) is the premier trade event of the online adult industry in Europe. AOE Berlin takes place from April 24-26, running in conjunction with WorldTelemedia 2006 . Numerous mainstream and adult companies will be present, and their registration packets will include information about ASACP.

According to ASACP Executive Director Joan Irvine, this is part of ASACP's growing effort to expand its outreach beyond the United States. "Online child protection is an international issue," she said. "That point was driven home for me when I traveled to Belfast this past November, to attend the Virtual Global Taskforce's conference on Protecting Children Online. ASACP is already receiving support from companies based outside the U.S., and that's a trend we want to see continue."

ASACP member companies based in Europe include Title Sponsor E-PayCompany, and Australia's Eros Association is an ASACP Association Sponsor. However, a recent study by the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children indicates that many countries and governments lag behind in the fight against child pornography.

Irvine says this makes it even more imperative that the online adult industry self-regulate. "This industry has always been on the cutting edge of new technology and new business models. Now ASACP member companies are also helping lead the way when it comes to protecting kids."

Founded in 1996, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP battles child pornography through its CP reporting hotline, and by organizing the efforts of the online adult industry to combat the heinous crime of child sexual abuse.

Companies and individuals interested in supporting ASACP may go to www.asacp.org for more information on how to get involved.
