Stormy Daniels and Lynn LeMay Support ASACP at Internext 2008
Los Angeles, CA (January 23, 2008) – Adult film stars Stormy Daniels and Lynn LeMay came out to support the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) at last week’s Internext Expo by volunteering their time and star power at ASACP’s booth.
Internext Expo is a business-to-business online and digital media adult entertainment industry conference which took place January 13th through 15th at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. ASACP had a booth on the 25,000 square foot Rain nightclub at the Palms which served as the show floor. The show floor was open on Monday and Tuesday, Daniels and LeMay were on hand both days to talk about ASACP and its RTA “Restricted to Adults” Website Label while also taking time for photo opportunities with fans.
Daniels commented, "I was thrilled to participate at the ASACP booth at Internext. Self-regulating ourselves is very important in protecting our industry and our businesses. The RTA label not is not only key in doing that, but it is instrumental in protecting children from viewing adult content on the internet. Choosing to work in the adult industry comes with certain responsibilities that I think a lot of my fellow performers and producers are simply unaware of and I would like to raise that awareness."
Prior to Internext Daniels was honored at the AVN Awards where she walked away with the coveted Crossover Star of the Year Award. Daniels also won Best Sex Comedy for her film Operation Desert Stormy. Daniels is the official spokesperson for ASACP and she is currently developing a new public service announcement to bring attention to RTA. A 2007 video on YouTube.com featuring Daniels and highlights from the June Press Conference announcing the RTA website label has been viewed nearly 75,000 times.
AVN Hall of Famer and LeMayzing Pictures President Lynn LeMay stated, “I’m proud to support ASACP and I think it’s important that the adult industry sends out the message that we do care about our children’s safety.” LeMay added, “Being a Parent myself, I know I want to make sure my children are protected while surfing the internet.”
