ASACP Set to Attend Internext Expo

Los Angeles, CA (January 4, 2011) — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce its plans for attending the upcoming Internext Expo, being held in Las Vegas, on January 8-10, 2011.

Held in conjunction with the Adult Entertainment Expo, Internext brings adult business people together from around the world, for seminars, workshops and more.

ASACP CEO Joan Irvine will spearhead the association’s presence at the event, where she will be attending the special CEO’s Dinner; bringing awareness of ASACP’s ongoing mission to a diverse range of adult entertainment industry leaders.

“ASACP has a long history of attending this important adult industry event,” stated Irvine. “I want to thank AVN, Paul Fishbein and Darren Roberts for their ongoing support of ASACP. This valuable face time allows the association to educate and inform the industry about our advocacy and child protection efforts, as well as provide ways in which the industry can become involved in our mission.”

“For example,” Irvine added, “Sponsors, members and donors provide direct financial support to ASACP, while all website owners can make use of the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website filtering label, which was developed by ASACP through the generosity of its supporters.”

Other examples of industry support for the association include ASACP newest Title sponsor AlertPay.com with its generous underwriting of ASACP VP Technology & Forensic Research Tim Henning’s Internext attendance; and AVN donating the production of the newest public service announcement (PSA) for ASACP’s RTA program, featuring AVN Awards hosts Riley Steele and Tori Black. This PSA will be aired during the AVN Awards on January 8, at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas.

The RTA PSA series features popular performers and adult industry leaders discussing the need for proactive responsibility and the use of the RTA meta-label. For example, ASACP supporter and previous PSA participant Catalina Cruz may be seen on ASACP’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/asacprta#p/u/5/M7tNRYIseMg. Catalina Cruz will be hosting and performing in a live, all-girl event as part of AEE, which will be webcast to her fans.

ASACP is also exhibiting at the attendee’s mix and meet; and will have an advertisement in the show guide along with flyers in the show’s gift bags — allowing it to leverage its physical presence at the New Year’s first adult industry gathering.

Founded in 1996, ASACP is a non-profit organization dedicated to online child protection. ASACP battles child pornography through its CP Reporting Hotline and helps parents prevent children from viewing age-restricted material online with its Restricted To Adults (RTA) Website Label (www.rtalabel.org). ASACP is the only association in the world that coordinates the adult entertainment industry’s efforts to protect children online. It has spent more than 14 years creating progressive programs to protect children and its relationship in assisting the adult industry’s child protection efforts is unparalleled.
