ASACP Travels to Miami for XBIZ Summit

LOS ANGELES (May 14, 2012) — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is excited to announce that it will participate in the upcoming XBIZ Summit, scheduled for May 15-18, at the Shelborne hotel, on Miami’s South Beach.

The XBIZ Summit is a three-day event providing adult webmasters, digital media marketers and service providers from around the world, with a wide variety of networking, educational and promotional opportunities.

“The XBIZ Summit is an important event for ASACP to attend, as it draws a global group of digital media business owners,” the association’s Executive Director, Tim Henning, stated. “These companies are on the front line of online child protection, so reaching this assemblage of decision makers, one-on-one, is vital.”

This in-person networking allows ASACP staff members to explain the association’s balance of missions; which allows it to protect innocent children and legitimate adult entertainment companies that are seeking effective tools for industry self-regulation — such as the ASACP supported Restricted To Adults (RTA) website labeling system.

“Because ASACP is a non-profit organization relying on sponsorships, membership fees and contributions, it is important that we leverage our limited budget and control our spending,” Henning added. “By making the most of targeted industry events and the audiences that they attract, ASACP expands its effectiveness without sacrificing its budget — a win-win for all.”

Henning and ASACP’s Membership Manager, Dawn Yagielowicz, will be on hand in Miami as part of the association’s adult industry action initiative; with an information booth at the Mix & Meet event on Thursday, May 17, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. A special “world” edition of this popular session, the Mix & Meet provides an excellent opportunity for ASACP to extend its global outreach program, bringing its message to an array of international business owners.

“By visiting our booth, XBIZ Summit attendees can discover the latest happenings at ASACP and RTA and how the association continues to work on behalf of online child protection and the needs of our evolving industry,” Yagielowicz stated. “Visitors can also learn how they can help support the association in its vital and ongoing mission.”

ASACP will be accepting donations and processing memberships at its information booth, while offering a range of literature and handouts. ASACP will also feature an advertisement in the event’s show guide, courtesy of the show’s promoters.
