ManyVids Becomes Newest ASACP Corporate Sponsor

LOS ANGELES (January 9, 2018) — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is delighted to announce that ManyVids has become its newest Corporate Sponsor.

According to the company, ManyVids believes in making a difference to help change the world.

“We start by giving our MV Stars the technological tools they need to become successful, independent entrepreneurs in the safety of their own home. We believe that empowering our content creators to have complete ownership over the entertainment they make is key to shaping a healthier, sex-positive society that protects the autonomy and integrity of adult entertainers,” says a ManyVids spokesperson. “We also understand how important it is to protect a younger generation who are not equipped to understand adult entertainment.”

The ManyVids spokesperson says that in our digital era, sexual content is available everywhere.

“We need to make sure that pornography does not replace a proper sex education guided by family and educators,” the spokesperson explains. “There should be open communication with loved ones to prepare young adults for what pornography means and what it is for. Without a proper understanding of sexuality, pornography can be perceived as ‘the way to have sex’ instead of sex for entertainment.”

“ManyVids is proud to associate ourselves with ASACP and will hopefully entice other adult companies to do the same,” the spokesperson concludes. “This is the first step in the right direction toward protecting youth and creating a safer community where a healthy attitude toward sex is the norm.”

ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning welcomes ManyVids to the association’s family of sponsors and recognizes their demonstration of corporate responsibility and a desire to self-regulate in the interest of keeping society’s most vulnerable members safe from inadvertent exposure to age-restricted materials.

“ManyVids is a prime example of the new breed of adult entertainment companies that are leveraging technology to bring innovative offers to market,” Henning says. “These tech-savvy companies understand the challenges of protecting children online and the value that ASACP brings to the equation. We welcome ManyVids to our family and encourage other companies to follow suit.”

“Companies that allow user-generated content face special challenges in keeping minors out of and away from adult content, and this is something that ASACP can help with,” Henning adds. “Through the support of our sponsors, we are able to continue our mission and help keep children out of and away from adult entertainment.”

Henning says ASACP’s sponsors not only do their part to protect children but through their support of the association, enable its award-winning Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta filter, along with market-specific Best Practices and universal Code of Ethics that promotes child-safe operation. Additionally, the non-profit association’s near 22-year-long record of success is highlighted by its globally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline, which has processed more than one million CP reports to-date.

“ASACP makes effective use of the support it receives from its sponsors,” Henning concludes. “Operating with tight staffing on a limited budget our non-profit association relies on the industries it protects to enable its future. Let 2018 be the year that more companies join the ranks of industry leaders such as ManyVids in extending much-needed support in the battle to protect children online, simply because it is the right thing to do.”
