ASACP Names FanCentro, DatingGold, Cherry Pimps as July Featured Sponsors

LOS ANGELES (July 1, 2020) — ASACP, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, is pleased to name FanCentro, DatingGold, and Cherry Pimps as its Featured Sponsors for July 2020.

ASACP’s monthly Featured Sponsors are among the industry’s most respected companies and serve as prime examples of how responsible business practices, ethical operation, and social awareness can help protect minors from accidental exposure to age-restricted materials online.

According to ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning, the association encourages all companies and organizations with an online presence to take a caring, leadership role in joining the fight to keep children out of and away from adult-oriented materials by sponsoring ASACP and its valiant efforts.

“As the COVID crisis continues and more regions extend their quarantines, the uptick in internet use is also causing an increase in the potential for exploitation of the most vulnerable of us all,” Henning explained. “As more people stay at home, they find education, entertainment, and the workplace are all online and this complicates our mission as new tools and audiences enter the equation.”

“It is vital that we do not forget the needs of children’s safety during these unprecedented times,” Henning added. “Addressing these needs is where ASACP’s sponsors shine, enabling the association to make a positive difference in preserving the innocence of connected youth.”

The support that ASACP receives from sponsors such as FanCentro, DatingGold, and Cherry Pimps enable it to continue its 24-year-long record of success and provide a range of educational and informational resources, including market-specific Best Practices and a Code of Ethics for online businesses, app publishers and operators of age-restricted websites.

Among its most notable achievements, ASACP’s RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta labeling system helps parents prevent their children’s access to countless adult-oriented webpages and mobile apps and is offered to all site and app publishers free of charge, as are all ASACP services; including its CP Reporting Tipline, which has received and processed well over 1 million user reports to date, thanks to the generosity of the nonprofit association’s sponsors and members.

For July, ASACP honors FanCentro, DatingGold, and Cherry Pimps as its Featured Sponsors, recognizing the continued, generous support that these companies provide to the association, and thus honoring their commitment to making the internet safer for children and families.

FanCentro

An ASACP Title Sponsor that has extended its generous support to the association since 2012, FanCentro offers resources for adult content creators, performers, and publishers, so the company takes online child protection seriously to ensure that minors are not using its wide range of services.

FanCentro consolidates the most popular models and influencers on social media in one place so that fans can enjoy exclusive access to the model’s private FanCentro Feed, plus their premium Snapchat, Instagram, and other social media accounts.

FanCentro provides models with all of the tools needed to successfully monetize their fan base and offers a complete ecosystem for adult entertainment companies, performers and promoters to bring their content to market; and as such they sit on the front line of the need for online child protection.

DatingGold

A valued ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2007, casual dating and webcam affiliate program DatingGold.com demonstrates its commitment to protecting children by including the RTA label on its flagship cam site WebCamClub.com, and dating site, AmateurMatch.com. It also offers many other niche cam and dating sites, as well as co-branded affiliate sites.

Although ASACP holds its sponsors to the highest ethical standards, cam and dating sites are faced with additional membership requirements because they contain user-generated content that is produced outside of commercial channels, which regulate a performer’s proof of age — so extra steps are needed to help ensure that only lawful images and consenting adults are displayed.

Here, DatingGold excels as an example of how proactive measures by content providers can make a difference in keeping children safe on (and from) the internet.

Cherry Pimps

Supporting the association as a Corporate Sponsor since 2013, Cherry Pimps helps to protect children and others from inadvertent exposure to age-restricted materials by locking its fare behind a paywall — requiring viewers to purchase the company’s adult content, including its live webcam sex shows — rather than offering it as a free-for-all.

“We’re happy to continue our support of the ASACP as they work to help protect children online,” says Cherry Pimps Director Eric. “Their work is invaluable and we must remember that their work is often thankless, but extremely necessary to keep child predators out of the online environment.”

“We thank the entire team at ASACP and look forward to many more years of cooperation,” he added. “I encourage all those who are not sponsors, to step up to the plate and participate, and give back to your community.”

“The continuing generosity of industry leaders such as FanCentro, DatingGold, and Cherry Pimps help enable ASACP to carry out its vital mission to protect today’s constantly connected youth,” Henning concluded. “ASACP’s Featured Sponsors demonstrate that proactive leadership and corporate responsibility are hallmarks of the digital media industry and that caring and profits can and do go hand-in-hand.”
