Los Angeles, CA (May 15, 2007) – The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) will conduct a workshop at Webmaster Access East, on keeping adult sites safe and legal.

Webmaster Access East runs from May 16-19 in Toronto. ASACP’s “Are You Protected?” workshop takes place on Friday, May 18 at 2:00 PM and will be conducted by ASACP’s Compliance Director, Tim Henning.

A former adult webmaster, Henning joined ASACP in 1996 during the organization’s first year. As Compliance Director, he reviews reports that come through ASACP’s online child pornography reporting hotline and tracks down billing, hosting, ownership, registration and IP information. Henning also oversees monitoring of ASACP approved member sites, which helps members keep their traffic clean.

During the workshop, Henning will discuss some basic ways that adult webmasters and companies can protect their businesses, fight child pornography and keep children from viewing adult material online.

“I expect to present some simple, practical guidelines,” Henning said. “ASACP’s approach is not too legalistic or technical, so this session should be especially helpful for small site operators and newcomers. We just want to help webmasters and adult companies to be prepared, and be aware of what practices and operating procedures can help them protect themselves and their businesses.”
