ASACP Participates in Cybernet Expo Panel

Los Angeles, CA (June 7, 2007) – The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) will be represented at the upcoming Cybernet Expo.

Cybernet Expo is an annual international tradeshow for online adult professionals. This year the event runs from Wednesday, June 7th through June 10th in Tampa Bay, Florida. On Saturday, June 9th ASACP’s CTO Brandon Shalton will participate on the “Politics of Porn” panel. The panel will include a discussion about the current political climate outside the industry as well as the "politics" within the industry.

Monday launched “Label with RTA” day and featured Shalton in a mini-forum on GFY Webmasters Board discussing the technical aspects of site labeling using the RTA (“Restricted to Adults”) website label. Saturday’s panel will likely hit on the hot button issue of the ramifications of mandatory government labeling and the benefits of self regulation.

In addition to Shalton, the “Politics of Porn” panel will include Angelina Spencer (ACE National), Dave Cummings (DaveCummings.com), Darklady (YNOT), 12Clicks (12ClicksCash), attorney Eric M. Bernstein, and will be moderated by Monty from AVN.

Founded in 1996, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP also works to help parents prevent children from viewing age-inappropriate material online. More information is available at www.asacp.org.
