Los Angeles - (September 11, 2003) - Joan Irvine, ExecutiveDirector, Adult Sites Against Child Pornography (ASACP), iscurrently in Luxembourg where she addressed the INHOPEmeeting on September 10th and will attend the Safer InternetConsultation Day on September 12th.

ASACP was able to attend these meetings due to the generoussupport of FlashCash and Python.

The Internet Hotline Providers in Europe Association(www.inhope.org ) facilitates co-operation between EuropeanInternet Hotline providers. Its mission is to eliminate childpornography from the Internet and protect minors from harmful andillegal uses of the Internet. ASACP is attending this meeting tolearn how it can improve its operations, establish relationships withother hotlines, and to educate them on how the adult site industryis uniquely positioned to help combat child pornography.

EU Safer Internet Action Plan is part of a comprehensive andcoherent set of policies at EU level to deal with illegal and harmfulcontent on global networks. This meeting will focus on therole that various groups (e.g. ISPs, mobile network operators,national regulators, police, software companies, parents, teachers,NGOs dealing with family, children and consumer rights) could playin the fight against illegal, harmful and unwanted content.(www.europa.eu.int/information_society/programmes/iap/info_day/public_consultation/ index_en.htm ).
