ASACP to be Featured at XBIZ LA 2010

Los Angeles, CA (February 2, 2010) – The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) will participate in the upcoming XBIZ LA 2010 Conference.

XBIZ LA 2010 will be held February 9 – 11th in Hollywood, California. The conference will take place at the Sofitel Hotel and will feature intensive workshops, seminars and networking opportunities.

ASACP CEO Joan Irvine will participate on the panel “Fast Forward: The Future of the Porn Industry” at the conference. The panel takes place on Wednesday, Feb 10th from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Irvine will discuss ASACP’s plans for international expansion as well as how the blurring line between adult and mainstream means ‘compliance is the price of admission to do premium business in today's world where everyone is online’ and how child protection is on the top of mainstream companies’ priority list.

“The theme of the XBIZ LA 2010 Conference is ‘Seize The Future’, which is exactly what ASACP is striving for,” stated Irvine. “ASACP has many exciting plans for 2010 and I look forward to the opportunity to meet with industry leaders to discuss how we can all work together to best protect children online and how this benefits the industry.”

Later that evening ASACP will present its annual Service Recognition Award during the 2010 XBIZ Awards event at the Avalon in Hollywood. Past recipients of ASACP’s Service Recognition Award include Stormy Daniels, Tera Patrick, Evan Seinfeld, Fiona Patten and Robbie Swan of The Eros Association, attorneys Greg Piccionelli and Lawrence Walters, technical consultant Brandon Shalton of Cydata Services, and ASACP Technology and Forensic Research Director Tim Henning.
